Coinciding with National Volunteer Week, Tralee Tidy Towns is delighted to announce that Garvey’s SuperValu is the official sponsor of its weekly litter picks around town.

With the number of volunteers growing each week, volunteers at Tralee Tidy Towns felt it was crucial to ensure they are both visible and safe during activities. They were presented with a set of safety bibs by Garvey’s Super Value to help in their ongoing work.

“We are very thankful to Kevin, Sandra, and everyone at Garvey’s for sponsoring the litter picks. It’s a great boost for us as volunteers to have that level of support. Everything costs, and without support, we wouldn’t be able to continue the work we do,” said Brendan O’Brien, Chairperson of Tralee Tidy Town.

Kevin McCarthy, Managing Director of Garvey’s SuperValu, also shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, adding that SuperValu is proud to support the tremendous work being done in Tralee by volunteers at Tralee Tidy Towns.

“We are delighted to sponsor the weekly litter picks, which are carried out every Wednesday evenings. People’s participation helps make a difference in maintaining our community,” said Kevin.
